Title: Comprehensive care for COVID-19: A challenge for primary health care

Abstract

This new virus causes various clinical manifestations. One of the most effective ways to combat this disease is self-care. At the beginning, SARS-CoV-2 was classified as a respiratory virus, the first patients presented a flu syndrome, which in most cases evolves into severe pneumonia. The current pandemic has resulted in a series of alterations in all spheres of social life. Higher medical education has been affected in different regions. Active health research is defined as the set of diagnostic actions that tend to identify individual health status in population groups, in order to establish existing risk factors and early discovery of hidden morbidity, with the aim of being included. In programs to guarantee their follow-up and continuous care. At the Primary Health Level, actions related to the early detection of patients, asymptomatic carriers, suspects and contacts are mainly carried out, with the consequent application of preventive actions at different moments of the development of the disease. The scientific world is constantly changing and many of them are here to stay, this also includes rehabilitation. Another of the challenges consists of the control that must be had over travelers both nationally and those who enter countries from abroad. Given the situation that the scientific community has been facing, it is pertinent to exchange on the role of Social Networks in the dissemination of health information in these times of pandemic. The confrontation with COVID-19 will always have to be seen from its integrating perspective with biopsychosocial factors. Due to its great potential to positively influence people's way of life, self-care constitutes an important strategy for health protection and disease prevention. It is imperative that this action maintain its intersectoral and interdisciplinary nature.
