The competency-Based approach and comprehensive training to reshape the teaching system in technology-Based medical education
Abstract
Comprehensive training for healthcare personnel based on capacity building using technology faces an uncertain future, as the medical establishment fails to recognize the benefits of its implementation, overlooking its real and tangible impact on the educational process, learning times, patient safety, and patient care. Therefore, it is necessary to implement scales for the systematic assessment and validation of healthcare personnel’s skills and competencies to propose curriculum models capable of reshaping the current educational system so that students can solve problems in any clinical situation. Continuous skills training appears to reduce medical errors, anticipatory anxiety, and the time required to master technical skills, while improving the quality of care and patient safety in both primary and specialized healthcare settings.
