Title: Efficiency of treating patients with generalized periodontitis with psychoemotional stress

Abstract

The work presents scientific substantiation and practical solution of one of the urgent problems of therapeutic dentistry - increasing the effectiveness of treatment and prevention of periodontal disease by determining the effects of psychoemotional stress on periodontal tissues, experimental and clinical rationale for the use of drugs in the treatment of manifestations of psychoemotional stress. Analysis of the levels of personal anxiety in the subjects depending on the presence and type of periodontal lesions showed that the level of personal anxiety in the subjects with periodontal disease was significantly lower than in the subjects without psychoemotional stress. As a result of the investigation it was found that the usage of the proposed complex of adrenoblockers in the complex therapy of patients with chronic course of generalized periodontitis with the presence of psychoemotional stress can effectively inhibit the dystrophic-inflammatory process in periodontal tissues. This confirms by the decline in the index PMA, OHI-S, ???, PI at nearest observation terms. A complex of adrenoblockers has been proposed for the treatment of patients with generalized periodontitis with manifestations of psychoemotional stress (the main subgroup). In the clinical studies, 100 patients with generalized periodontitis of the main subgroup were treated with the proposed complex of adrenoblockers in complex treatment. 60 patients with generalized periodontitis were selected for the control subgroup of comparison (second). As a result of the investigation it was found that the usage of the proposed complex of adrenoblockers in the complex therapy of patients with chronic course of generalized periodontitis with the presence of psychoemotional stress can effectively inhibit the dystrophic-inflammatory process in periodontal tissues.
